AS Roma’s 100 per cent record in the Italian Serie A will be on the line when they host second-placed SSC Napoli to Stadio Olimpico on Friday.

The Eternal City outfit have been in magnificent form so far this season, winning each and every of their seven league games. In a way their poor, sixth-place finish last season is helping their cause this time around. Having missed out on European football completely, they are now free of distractions this season. While their other rivals have to adjust and save energy for Champions League and Europa League, the Giallorossi have played merely seven league games so far this season. It has enabled them to give their best whenever they step out in the domestic competition.

However, the story will be slightly changed this time. Since, Friday’s game will be taking place after an international break, the Romans are unlikely to have any energy advantage. Moreover, Napoli have been just as impressive as them. They’ve won all their league matches except for the surprise 1-1 home draw with Sassuolo last month. Pound for Pound, the Partenopei arguably have a better squad with more quality than Roma. Hence, it makes for an exciting clash.

The home team won both the times these two met in the league last season. This is about to change. The play here is to back Napoli +0.5 goal with Pinnacle Sports at a return of 1.72.
