Real Zaragoza is in trouble of playing in the second division of the Spanish La Liga next season if they don’t fare well in their last four games. On Friday, the Blanquillos have a chance to distance themselves from the cellar-dwellers as they go for the victory against Levante at Ciudad de Valencia.
With only four points separating Real Zaragoza (9-6-19, 33 points) and last place Mallorca (7-8-19, 29 points), the Blanquillos are nowhere safe from relegation.
Real Zaragoza has recently asserted effort to keep them in the Premiere League after scoring two crucial wins again Mallorca 3-2 and Royal Vallecano 3-0. But the danger of relegation looms large for Real Zaragoza, making Friday’s game a must-win for them.
Hélder Postiga and Apono will again assume the daunting role of keeping Real Zaragoza’s offense running against a Levante squad that hasn’t tasted a victory in their last five games.
After absorbing a 1-5 thrashing at the hands of Real Madrid, Levante went on a free-fall as they bowed to Deportivo La Coruña 1-4, Barcelona 0-1, Celta Vigo 0-1 before salvaging a 1-1 draw against Mallorca.
Obafemi Martins and Jose Barkero will be the main weapon for Levante (11-8-15, 41 pts), which is just a win away from securing their place in next year’s Spanish La Liga season.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes is predicting a tight game between Real Zaragoza and Levante with the Blanquillos pegged as a 2.70 underdog against a 2.50 favorite Levante, while a draw is set at 3.40.
