When Ipswich and Blackpool face each other in their Saturday afternoon Championship fixture at Portman Road, both the teams’ aim will be to get a win and enlarge the gap between themselves and the dreaded relegation zone.
Ipswich got beaten 1-0 away from home by the in-form Blackburn Rovers last weekend and so they will be hoping bounce back after that setback. Coach Mick McCarthy’s men have just a single win to show from their last six outings and they need to improve on that quickly or risk getting embroiled in the relegation dogfight.
Blackpool, on the other hand, won their last game against Millwall 2-1 at home but they had lost four out of their previous five before that. Hence, they are also in desperate need of some consistently positive results.
The Tangerines recently lost their manager Michael Appleton to Blackburn Rovers and are close to signing Paul Ince as his replacement. The new boss’ arrival usually lifts the mood at football clubs and so Ince’s installation has the potential of working in similar way for Blackpool.
The pick here is to back Blackpool with Ladbrokes‘ DrawNoBet option at a return of 2.10.
