Dundee United and St. Mirren are set to clash in this lone SPL fixture that is scheduled to take place at Tannadice on Sunday.
While teams normally struggle to perform away from home, the Tangerines are unique in the sense that they have a horrible record at home this season. Coach Peter Houston’s men haven’t won a single game at home since winning the Dundee city derby back in August. They wouldn’t get a better chance of ending their home hoodoo than this, as St. Mirren are one of the poorest travelling teams in the league and have won just once on the road so far this season.
United are set to be without the services of winger Gary Mackay-Steven and central defender Sean Dillon, but there is a good chance that full-back Keith Watson might be available, although he would have to pass a late fitness test.
The Buddies, meanwhile, have just one absentee who is their young midfielder Kenny McLean. Their previously suspended duo of Marc McAusland and Jim Goodwin are now available too, while left-back Paul Dummett’s muscle injury has also healed.
United’s winless run at home has to end sometime and it could very well happen on Sunday. Therefore, backing them for an outright win with Ladbrokes at odds of 1.83 could be a wise choice here.
