With a stint in next year’s UEFA Champions League remains a possibility, Arsenal looks to go all out for every win they can get. On Saturday, the Gunners will try to extend their current unbeaten streak to five when they play Sunderland at Stadium of Light.
Despite starting the season slow, the Arsenal managed to pick things up at the right moment and started to nail some key victories in the second half of the English Premier League season.
With a 12-8-6 (44 pts) slate, the Gunners found themselves just two points behind third place Chelsea in the standings, thus keeping them within striking distance for an automatic spot in the UEFA Champions League.
Theo Walcott has been immense for the Gunners with a team-high 11 goals while his attacking mate Olivier Giroud recorded 9 goals so far. German Lukas Podolski is sustaining stability in the midfield for Arsenal, contributing 9 assists this season.
Meanwhile, Sunderland hasn’t been performing well in the past two games, failing to sustain the momentum from their big 3-0 win over West Ham United and 3-2 victory over the Wigan Athletic. Instead, Sunderland played to a scoreless draw to Swansea City 0-0 and bowed out to Reading 2-1 last week.
Paddy Power offered Arsenal at 1.91 while Sunderland is set at 3.75. A draw is available at 3.60.
